Dr. Trent R. Artichoker, M.S., D.C.
Portland,Oregon
Fort Collins, CO
Colorado State University Pueblo, Colorado
Longmont, Colorado Dr. Artichoker has dedicated his life to helping people through chiropractic care. He spent 10 years achieving his education acumen. His own life experiences with health have shaped his direction in life. Trent Artichoker's first experience with adjusting the spine came at a very young age when his mother would ask him to walk up and down her back to give her relief from her physically demanding job. His personal experience with his spine being adjusted came from his unique growth development where his legs did not grow at the same pace. He found that spinal adjustments were key to combating the effects of walking with one leg shorter than the other. After 18 years with this condition, his leg ended up being 2 inches shorter than the other, until a brilliant Orthopedic Surgeon by the name of Dr. Ilert surgically lengthened his leg with a device called the Ilizarov. The device lengthened his short leg 1mm a day until equal lengths were achieved. At 7 months after the long process, Dr. Artichoker was back to his regular self of weekly snowboarding. After this life changing event, he decided to dedicate his life to helping others. Trent Artichoker is a Colorado native, and recently moved back to Denver to start a practice. His doctorate degree was obtained at the evidence based Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR. In addition to his doctorate degree, he is a graduate of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in the "Whiplash and Brain Traumatology" program. He provides the community a unique treatment option that is invaluable, non-invasive, affordable, drug free, and a form of surgical free health care. Before going to chiropractic college, Dr. Artichoker completed his bachelors degree in Biology and minored in Chemistry with a pre-med emphasis at Colorado State University of Pueblo. Although he originally planned to go to medical school, his plans changed midway into completing his masters degree in Anatomy at Colorado State University of Fort Collins. It is at this point where he felt that his past experiences with a leg length inequality combined with his graduate level education in Anatomy, he realized that chiropractic was his future. In between his three degrees, he obtained his professional teaching license in Colorado where he taught science and other classes for five years at the high school and middle school level . In his last two years of teaching, he had the distinction of working with Peak to Peak charter school, the top rated school in the Denver-Metro area, and rated in the top 100 of the nation. In those five years, he gained lifelong skills, and has continued to maintain relationships with those he worked with, as well as the students he educated. When Dr. Artichoker is not treating patients, he is spending time with his wife, new son, born in the fall of '08, and family that is scattered throughout Colorado. He enjoys fishing, hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and participating in mountain man rendezvous (an activity that his family has enjoyed since he was a young child). Dr. Artichoker is excited to help you obtain your optimal health, so you can enjoy your life to the fullest. Feel free to email him if you have any questions. Contact Dr. Artichoker |
